Loretta Horn obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Correction. In 1995, she received a Masters of Art Degree in Counseling and became a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic Professional Honor Society International. Loretta also obtained a Bachelor Degree in Religious counseling in June 2005. She was also a member of Cambridge Who's Who.

Her work experience includes extensive counseling with people who have anxiety, depression, anger management and substance abuse problems. For the last seventeen years, she has worked in the field of Criminology & Corrections and Counseling which includes:

• Board Certified Christian Counselor and Director of Christian Education at Fallbrook Church
• Personal business "AMPT" Anger Management Parenting Tools
• Three years working in the United States Federal Courts as a Federal Probation Officer
• Two years at the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Correctional Treatment Specialist
• Eight years working for Harris County as an Adult Probation Officer
• Completed a Practicum at Columbia Champions Center counseling children and adolescents
